The first Roman location we want to present to you is Antiche Scuderie Odescalchi, an elegant historic residence immersed in the green of the Roman countryside, near Lake Bracciano.
The property was used for agricultural activities and sheep-farming until 1887, when it was inherited by Prince Don Baldassarre who transformed it into stables for horse breeding and devoted himself to the improvement of the equine race. That’s the reason behind the name “Antiche Scuderie”, which means ancient stables.
A perfect setting for any type of reception
The outdoor area is a well-kept secular park of 1000 square meters. There are some fountains, a stream and Bracciano Lake in the background.
The park is dotted with ancient trees, shrubs and aquatic plants: the splendid landscapes that follow one another in every season, the explosion of colour of the flowers, together with the elegant furnishings, make up a perfect setting for any type of reception.
There are 3 large internal halls with 2 beautiful fireplaces that can be used in case of bad weather but also to organize unique winter weddings. During the cold seasons, these spacious halls come to life thanks to the welcoming atmosphere, the refined and elegant interiors, rich in history, and the well-kept furnishings.
The estate is licensed for civil ceremonies, and the church Santa Maria del Riposo located 3 kilometers from the structure can also be booked with the property for religious ceremonies.
The venue does not offer the possibility to stay the night, but there are many hotels nearby.
Antiche Scuderie Odescalchi is the perfect fusion of history and nature and this creates an atmosphere which is difficult to replicate in other contexts.
